When it comes to a glowing complexion what we put into our bodies and how we treat our skin and ourselves has a huge impact on how we look - no skin care product can overcome certain damage. Here are a few hints to take the best care of your skin and get that radiant glow.
1. Eat a balanced diet - what we put in our bodies will show on our skin. If you eat fatty foods and junk your skin will reflect that, so give your skin proper nutrition.
2. Get at least 7 to 8 hours sleep every night. A lack of sleep will show up under your eyes as dark circles or bags. Proper rest will also benefit your body and your life.
3. Drink 6 to 8 glasses of water a day to keep your skin hydrated. It is best to spread the consumption of water in small amounts over the course of the day to be sure it is properly absorbed.
4. Maintain a regular exercise schedule. Exercise gets the blood moving and creates a healthy body.
5. Get lots of fresh air but avoid prolonged exposure to wind and cold.
6. Avoid the sun and tanning beds. The damage done by ultraviolet rays is long lasting and cannot be reversed.
7. Always wear sunglasses to avoid squinting.
8. Try to achieve a well-balanced life and reduce stress.
9. Exfoliate twice a week to rid your skin of dead cells.
10. Develop a skin care routine for your particular skin type.
If you have been neglecting your complexion start right away to improve it - it's never too late. What you do today will show up in your skin in the future. It's up to you.

There is a lot of confusion on how to properly care for your skin. Following are skin care tips that will help you obtain optimal skin health.
Dr. Linda Franks, a leader in the specialized skin care frontier, says "To get that timeless, healthy look you need to start with an appropriate skin care regime. Taking good care of your skin can stave off fine lines, wrinkles, age spots and even dry skin."
Doctors say whatever your skin type, the key to skin care is to cleanse gently.
Skin Care Tip:
*Never use Hot water! Use lukewarm instead to prevent skin from over-drying. *Never use a washcloth. They are simply to abrasive for the face. Use your clean hands. *Never rub your face dry with a towel. Pat gently and immediately apply moisturizer.
Over sixty percent of women claim to have sensitive skin which includes dry, tight, chapped or easily irritated skin. To combat these problems you must moisturize regularly with a product designed for your skin type; normal, oily or combination. Make sure to choose a moisturizer with an SPF 15 minimum which protects against both UVA and UVB rays.
You also must avoid harsh cleansers with ingredients such as fragrance or dyes. These are especially damaging to sensitive skin. Choose cleansers over soaps, as the are much more gentle on the skin. Non-comedogenic or oil-free moisturizers are your best bet because they will not clog the pores, so you will be guarded against break outs.
Gentle ate home micro-dermabrasion and glycolic peel kits can greatly improve the appearance of your skin. If these are to harsh for your skin, it is still important to exfoliate at least twice a week to remove dead skin cells. Acne Care Skin Tip: While picking at blemishes may appear to help the problem, it actually may lead to long term scarring, so never pick. Also, avoid over cleansing as this can be counter productive
What are some other skin care tips? Drink plenty of water, exercise daily and maintain a healthy diet. Great foods to eat include salmon, eggs (try for two egg yolks a week) and Pomegranates (one a day is ideal although they are a seasonal fruit). This all will assist in keeping skin youthful, smooth and resilient.
Make the above skin care tips a part of your daily skin care regime to achieve more radiant, smooth and youthful skin.
